Winter in South Africa
Juice magazine explored keeping warm as the winter cold set in. This blurb appeared on the travel section opener of the July 2018 issue.
While it might be tempting, you’re not required to hibernate when winter rolls round and the temperatures start to drop. This month, we were inspired to find places to go and things to do that will keep your flame of passion for exploring burning, no matter the weather.
We take a trip to one of South Africa’s favourite seaside towns to see what goes on during the quieter months and discover that there’s still plenty to do. Staying by the sea, we find a hidden gem up the West Coast before heading for the mountains to join a hiking group that’s changing children’s lives.
And because we can’t let all memory of summer fade away, we fly north to sunny Portugal for an amble along the Camino de Santiago.
No matter where you’re headed this July, there’s plenty to enjoy in Mzansi.
